∏ Performance Intermedia Festival to międzynarodowy festiwal synkretycznej sceny sztuki współczesnej, dziejącej się w rzeczywistym miejscu i czasie.
Po początkowym okresie festiwalu sztuki żywej i performance od piątej edycji 2007 festiwal jest zorganizowany na trzech filarach:
- analogowy performance;
- intermedia (multimedialne sztuki performatywne, live multimedia, obiekty intermedialne, sztuka idei);
- intermedialne i performatywne interwencje w przestrzeni publicznej.
∏ Performance Intermedia Festival is an international festival that tackles the topic of contemporary art syncretism that happens in definite time and space.
Starting as performance art and live art festival since its 5th edition in 2007 the event has been organized on three pillars:
- analogue performance art;
- intermedia (multimedia performing arts, live multimedia, intermedia objects, works of idea);
- intermedial and performing interventions in public space.
Istotną część festiwalu stanowią program edukacyjny, promocja młodych twórców i dyskusje.
Prace prezentowane w ramach festiwalu nie mają określonej tematyki. Preferowane są tematy poruszające kwestie społeczne, historyczne i tożsamościowe. Artyści prezentujący swoje prace na festiwalu są zapraszani przez organizatorów. Istnieje jednak również możliwość aplikacji ze strony samych artystów. Mile widziane są portfolia profesjonalnych, niekoniecznie uznanych artystów z całego świata.
A significant part of the festival is built by educational program, promotion of young artists, and discussions.
Works presented at the festival have no particular topic. Preferred are topics that tackle questions of social backgrounds, historical roots, matters of identity. All artists presenting their works at the festival are invited by the organizers. Still, there is a possibility to apply by artist’s own invention. Welcomed are portfolios of professional, not necessarily very well known artists from all around the world.
